Poly High P.-T. A.
News Flashes
Student Aid has been one of
the motives of Mrs. George Jones
president of Polytechnic High
Parent Teacher Unit, during her administration.
At the January meeting of the
organization, the sum of
ten dollars
was voted to be used, monthly,
by Arthur A.
Sutherland, faculty
adviser for the P.-T. A. for
students’ car tickets and lunches.
Clothing, especially
new shoes,
was supplied at graduation time
and is still
being supplied. Special
prices for new shoes are made by
dealers and tickets calling for
purchases are given
students coming
under the observation of the
teaching
force. Recreation, also,
is being studied by committees,
who
believe that the wise use of
leisure time is becoming a
problem
at this time of so much unemployment.
The recreation committee under
Mrs. Harold Gadd,
in conferring
with Miss Florence Freidman,
Recreation
Chairman for the Second
district, on recreational needs
of the High school age boy and adults
in general.
